Carat Weight

A diamond's weight is measured in carats, which corresponds roughly to its size. Each carat equals 100 points. A 3/4 carat stone might be referred to as 75 points. When there is more than one diamond in a piece of jewelry, the carat weight might be listed as "cttw" which is the total carat weight of all the diamonds in the piece.
